Profiles of commuter cyclists

Commuter cyclists in Johannesburg remain mysterious.

Who are they? Where do they cycle to? How and why do they cycle to in a City that is commonly perceived to be unsafe?  When did they start moving around  by bike – travelling to work, school, local shops and so on?

JUCA will be publishing a series of interviews over time that aim to answer these questions. To read them, in the menu bar above mouse over Cycling in Johannesburg, and then Profiles of Commuter Cyclists.

Here are some of the images of those we have interviewed so far.
