Sunday 9th of February, 7:30 am, Braamfontein.
The Freedom Ride is a cycle ride linking communities in Johannesburg. In partnership with the Bicycle Empowerment Initiative, the City of Johannesburg and Critical Mass, we are calling on all cyclists – new and experienced – to join us for this historic event and call for a more cycle-friendly Joburg.
The ride will start and end at the Nelson Mandela Bridge in Braamfontein and is approximately 35km. The Freedom Ride is open to everyone and is free, but contributions towards the creation of a Bicycle Empowerment Centre in Soweto will be much appreciated.
Register online using this form and don’t forget to check Facebook , Twitter (@FreedomRideJozi) and the Freedom Ride website for the latest updates.
And please, please, please: spread the word! The more, the merrier, and the bigger the impact on local transport policies. Thank you!
